MOSCOW, November 21, 2007 Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) presents information concerning who Russians who are planning to partcipate in the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation on December 2nd, 2007 are intended to vote for.

During the last four months the majority of Russians - from 67,9% up to 75,8% has been planning to take part in the upcoming elections to the State Duma, of the Russian Federation the minimal value was recorded in September, the maximal one in November. According to the data obtained in the latest survey, 74,1% of the respondents having the right to vote are planning to participate in the voting process.

As far as the political parties are concerned, only two of them will overcome the seven-percent barrier in the elections to the State Duma, that being "Unified Russia" and the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, KPRF. 63,8% of Russians, intending to go to the upcoming parliamentary elections, express their willingness to vote for "Unified Russia". This party is stably at the top of the electoral rating with other parties lagging far behind: 57-59% of active voters expressed their willingness to vote for it in August - September, in October - November its electoral support still grew to reach 59-66%.

The Communist Party of the Russian Federation occupies the second place in the rating. 6% to 9% of active voters have been planning to vote for it for the last four months, according to the data obtained in the course of research on November 17-18 this share now amounts to 7,3%.

The third and forth place is in turns occupied by "Fair Russia" and LDPR. The share of "Fair Russia" supporters among active voters has reduced from 7-8% in August - September down to 3-5% in October - November. According to the research conducted on November 17-18, exactly 6% of respondents  planning to go to the elections are willing to support this party. LDPR is supported by 5% to 7% of those who are planning to go vote, this share totalled 5,2% as of November 17-18.

The Agrarian party of Russia, the Union of the right forces and "Yabloko" have all this time accumulated on the average 1% of the vote from the respondents, who are planning to participate in the elections to the State Duma. According to the state of affairs on November, 17-18th the Union of Right Forces enjoyed the support of 0,9%, "Yabloko" 1,2%, APR - 1,4%.

Electoral support of other parties participating in the upcoming parliamentary elections was as a rule below 1%. According to the survey carried out on November, 17-18th, the Civilian Power - had 0,6% of the respondents' vote; "Patriots of Russia" - 0,8%; the Democratic party of Russia - 0,2%. The Party of Social Justice is the one that receives the least of the respondents' support, that being 0,1%.

The initiative all-Russia opinion poll was conducted by VCIOM in August - November 2007. 1600 respondents were interviewed in 153 population areas of 46 regions of Russia. The statistical error does not exceed 3.4%.
